Send Messages to your Discord server via HubSpot workflows

Conncord has made the process ridiculously simple. It takes 5 minutes to set up and is pretty much fire-and-forget---even your grandma can do it!

Here's what the example message we just created looks like in the #general channel of our Discord server:

Example discord message sent through HubSpot workflow

Step 1: Set up your Conncord account if you haven't already

We've created an easy to follow 3-step guide on how to set up your Conncord account. Follow the steps and come back here!

Step 2: Create a workflow in HubSpot

Log into the HubSpot account that you connected to Conncord in Step 1, and create a workflow.

This is what you should see:

Step 3: Set an enrollment trigger

You can use whatever enrollment trigger you see fit. Here's a few examples:

  • A customer made a purchase
  • New deal created
  • Deal closed won or lost
  • Marketing goal met
  • ...anything

In this example, we're going to manually enroll contacts to this workflow so we're leaving the trigger empty.

Step 4: Add a step and choose Conncord

After clicking on the + icon below the trigger, you'll see a list of actions on the left panel. Scroll down and you'll find Conncord under Integrated Apps.

Click on Conncord and you'll see a list of actions you can take using the app:

Step 5: Create your message

Write your Discord message

Send a Discord message through HubSpot workflows

Choose what channel you want to send the message to and PASTE the message you want to send.

You can use any HubSpot property in the message! We've used the contact's first name as an example in the screenshot above!

If you'd like to mention a user or a role in your message, you can use the following syntax:

  • Mention a user: @<Conncord_Discord_ID>
  • Mention a role: <@&Role_ID>

You can find the full list of message formatting options in Discord's docs

Step 6: Hit save and publish the workflow!

That's it! You're done.

Whenever this workflow runs, your message will be sent to the channel of your choice in Discord!
