Link Discord members to Attio people
Match Discord server members to Attio people by email with Conncord's invite link, Layover and welcome message, and save their Discord details.
Conncord links each Discord member in your server to an Attio person. It finds or creates the person by email and saves their Discord ID, username and verified email, so you can filter by Discord membership and use the role steps on them.
Member linking is included in the trial, Pro and Scale plans.
Three ways members get linked
| Way | Who it's for |
|---|---|
| Your invite link | People you invite, from emails, your website or anywhere else |
| Layover | An optional branded page in front of your invite link, which can ask for an email |
| Welcome message | People who join your server some other way. They click Register |
Your invite link
Your dashboard shows Your Discord invite link once Attio and Discord are connected. Click Copy to copy it, and Try it to test it.

It looks like this:
https://conncord.com/match/attio?aid=<YOUR WORKSPACE ID>Attio has one invite link per workspace, the same for everyone. Share it anywhere: in emails and sequences, on your website, in your product, or in a QR code. When someone opens it, they sign in with Discord, Conncord adds them to your server and links them to an Attio person.
To link the people you already have in Attio, email them your invite link. Turn on Layover with Ask for email so they're matched by the email they use with you, even if their Discord account uses a different one.
Which person a member is linked to
Conncord picks the person in this order:
- The oldest person with the email they entered on Layover or in the welcome message.
- The oldest person with their Discord email, if Discord has verified it.
- Otherwise, a new person with that email. Their first name is their Discord username until they enter a name.
Conncord adds the email to the person and fills in their name only if it's empty. It never removes or overwrites existing values.
A Discord member is linked to one person at a time, and a person to one member. If a member is linked to a different person later, Conncord clears the Discord ID and username on the old one.
What Conncord saves on the person
| Attribute | Value |
|---|---|
| Conncord Discord ID | The member's Discord user ID |
| Conncord Discord username | The member's Discord username |
| Conncord Discord email | The member's Discord email, saved only if Discord has verified it |
These attributes show what Conncord linked. The role steps use Conncord's own link, so editing them by hand doesn't change who a role step acts on. See Person attributes Conncord creates.
Linked members in your dashboard
The Activity page lists each link as Contact linked or Contact relinked, with a link to the person in Attio. The Linked members tab shows every member with how they joined and whether they're still in your server.
Pending links
Members always join your server, even when Conncord can't update Attio right away. Their link waits as Pending sync and is saved to Attio automatically, within about 10 minutes of the problem being fixed, when:
- Your plan doesn't include member linking (Starter). It syncs when you move to Pro or Scale.
- Your plan's actions for the month are used up.
- Attio is disconnected, or Conncord's access was revoked.
- Attio is temporarily unavailable.
While links are pending, role steps for those people fail with DISCORD_ID_MISSING.
Each link uses one action from your plan. See Plans and billing.
Members who leave and rejoin
When a member leaves your server, they stay linked to their person and show as Left server. If they rejoin, they're marked back in, and they don't get the welcome message again.

Assign and remove Discord roles from Attio workflows
Add Conncord's Assign and Remove Discord role steps to Attio workflows to give or take away Discord roles for a person, like when a deal is won.
Welcome message
Post a Discord welcome message with a Register button so new members who skip your invite link are still linked to HubSpot contacts or Attio people.
